The Compassion Experience

Yesterday students in grades 6, 7, 8 visited the Compassion Experience and had a chance to immerse themselves in the lives of a little girl from the Dominican Republic or a little boy from Kenya. Witnessing their poverty, hearing the challenges they experience, and learning of the horrific things they witness, just because of where they are born, bring compassion to the forefront. Many students reflected on the experience by expressing how thankful they are for what they have and some even want to explore how they can help those in developing countries.
