GAA students celebrated Canadian music at this year’s spring concert, NORTHERN LIGHTS. From hockey to camping and provinces to the open air, the students rocked out to some of the best Canadian music. The JK/SK class were adorable in their jerseys for ‘The Good Ol’ Hockey Game’ while the grade 1 class let loose for ‘Born to be Wild’. The grade 2 class educated us with ‘The Capitol Song’ and the 3/4s were ‘Taking Care of Business’. The 5/6 class dreamed about ‘If I had a Million Dollars’ and the 7/8s capped off the evening with a Mountie inspired rap ‘Canadian Please’. There were also special musical performances by the GAA ensemble, French classes, the primary, and junior/intermediate choirs, including a moving solo by one of our very best! With a Canadiana backdrop, red and white accents, and maple leaves galore, the stage sparkled in all it’s Canadian glory. With a packed auditorium, the applause seemed to shake the building during the finale of celebratory singing and waving flags. It was an unforgettable evening!
