At Glenn Arbour Academy, the learning process does not stop during recess. During a recent lunch recess, a group of children huddled around one of the seats at our outdoor classroom. Their curiosity was sparked by two visitors (please see the pictures). One of our science teachers did an impromptu lesson regarding our special visitors. The eyes and ears of all the children were very focused during the lesson. An important lesson regarding observing nature was learned and PRACTICED. The children were able to witness first hand the behaviour of the creatures that share our space. After being closely observed and ‘posing’ for pictures, our special visitors in the outdoor classroom went on in their merry way.
