Poetry Workshop

On Friday September 30th, Grade 6,7 and 8 students worked collaboratively with Tanya Neumeyer during a poetry workshop that explored various forms, devices, styles and presentations of poetry. Students had their own “Poetry Slams,” acted as poetry judges, engaged in poetry writing and self reflection as they worked together to create shared stories, individual experiences, and expressions of hopes and dreams. Students participated in Tanya’s presentation of slam poetry and experienced shared poetry writing exercises to explore their creativity and identities.

What a fun and creative learning experience!
