Pink Shirt Day

Through the Pink Shirt Day campaign this year, we encourage everyone to “Pink It Forward”. We all have the capacity to be kind and compassionate, and our T-shirt and campaign slogan acts as a friendly reminder that no matter what our differences, being nice is always a choice worth making.
Pink Shirt Day is an awareness campaign with a history of spreading kindness and preventing bullying in school communities. At our school, we prevent bullying through our Zero Tolerance policy, as well as through the initiatives of the H2 Crew, to help all students feel safe and included at school.
Another way we are promoting kindness and preventing bullying is through our new buddy bunch! This buddy bench will be used to encourage all students to be kind and compassionate towards each other.
The buddy bench was donated by the Elmer Family and will be outside for students to use at recess. Students looking for a friend at recess are invited to use the buddy bench. It has our H2 Crew Community Values written on it so we remember to always act according to the values.
