Me To We
On Thursday, February 27, grades 1-8 classes were part of an inspiring and motivational presentation from Free the Children outreach speaker, Deepa. Throughout the presentation, students learned about how poverty affects the lives of millions of children around the world. They also learned that they can be the change they wish to see in the world by getting involved in local and global initiatives to help impact those without access to education, healthcare and clean water.
Students learned that access to education helps break the cycle of poverty, and that they are a valuable part of the movement to lift communities out of exploitation. By taking part in campaigns like We Scare Hunger, We Create Change, and by selling Rafiki bracelets, students have created positive change around the world!
