Grade One Science

Many discoveries being made in Grade 1 science!

Grades 1’s have been very busy learning about weather over the past few weeks.

They have looked at the three types of clouds, and how each one is formed. The students experimented with shaving cream and glue to make their own cumulous clouds.

They also looked at the types of weather and made various weather related experiments

such as rain in a jar. The students also made their own snow by combining corn starch and shaving cream, and created their own tornadoes, using water, soap and vinegar.

Before starting each experiment the students filled out their experiment data sheet, and hypothesized what they thought would happen. They recorded the steps they took, and reported on their findings.

They discovered some amazing things!
