6:30pm – the doors open and there was a mad rush to get front row seats! Moms and dads were positioning tripods and cameras for the “best shot”. Smiles and eager anticipation spread throughout the audience. Meanwhile the cast and directors were putting together last minute details for the show. Suddenly a lone violin was heard in the distance; it got closer and louder. A few moments later the crowd was very quiet as they listened to the familiar melody of “When You Wish Upon A Star” which was then joined by the rest of the musicians.
The GAA students helped propel the story of Prince Jason’s visit to the Magic Kingdom (complete with tourists, actors, dancers and princess hosts) by singing familiar Disney songs old and new – from the classic It’s A Small World to the newest Let It Go! Our GAA choirs closed the show with their usual flare. Months of hard work paid off as both performers and audience left the building with bigger smiles then when they arrived. Well done everyone!
A BIG THANK YOU to Georgie for filling in to play the role of Hailey at the “last minute”!
