Last week GAA students were involved in Bullying Prevention and Awareness Week. Throughout the week, students and teachers explored the topics of bullying awareness and prevention. Each class presented pledges, skits, poems, and posters to promote the message of inclusion, anti-bullying and acceptance. Scott Graham, founder of the Kids4Kids Leadership Program spoke to the Grades 5-8 on Monday November 14th to communicate important messages about being an up-stander and leader in the fight against bullying. H2 Crew members presented the school buddy bench. The buddy bench will be used at recess to ensure all are included and respected by their peers. We finished the week off by creating a school wide peace sign made up of all students in the gym.
