Social Studies

Through the study of history and geography students at Glenn Arbour Academy are involved in three in-depth themes each year for exploring the world.

Social studies is a highly interactive component of our curriculum involving reading, mathematics and speaking.  Oral and written presentations coupled with strengthening research skills is an important focus.

As students progress through the grade levels the context of lessons and assignments increase in depth and complexity.

Field trips, group work, creative projects and school performances all extend and enhance student learning
